A few words from the label:

And so we reach 10 releases. It’s been quite the journey since the idea of putting music out to the world started. We didn’t really see through the first handful of releases. But now here we are, closing this circle.

We look again to Japan as in our previous release, this time by way of Silentwave. I had first become aware of his music through a release on Rusted Tone Recordings. His music feels light and familiar. It has an easy going vibe that doesn’t attempt to drag you in. It simply exists in the air around you. You give in, willingly. Highly recommended if you’re into Hakobune, Chihei Hatakeyama or Celer.

In Silentwave’s own words: “This work was made in 2020 with the theme of "traveling within me". All are improvisations. As soon as I started making sounds, my consciousness went inward into me. My unconscious plays a sound and draws a story. It is my memory, the memory of my ancestors, the memory of the earth. When I finished my trip and came back, this work was completed.”

This release has been a long time coming. Through the past year and a half the world has changed immensely and permanently. It has been difficult to navigate through this. I feel like this release closes an important chapter in the label, and as tomorrow is always a big unknown, it feels fitting that this ends with such a bright and hopeful sound.

Music will prevail. Spread love.
